Student Government
Student Government provides students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills, represent their peers, and participate in school governance.
Participation in Student Government fosters responsibility, teamwork, and civic engagement, preparing students for future leadership roles.
Elected student leaders—such as president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and class representatives—work together to:
- Plan and organize school events, dances, and fundraisers
- Lead community service projects
- Serve as a voice for the student body, bringing concerns and ideas to administration

Morning Star School is proud of its partnership with Bishop Snyder High School, where students share meaningful experiences. Bishop Snyder students host Morning Star students for:

Dances & Social Gatherings
Additionally, Bishop Snyder students serve as mentors, creating a welcoming and inclusive high school experience for Morning Star students.
This partnership continues to strengthen, fostering faith, friendship, and personal growth.
Academic Support & Enrichment
Math Tutoring (High School Only)
Free Tutoring available for high school students.
Sessions must be scheduled in advance.
Limited to 10 students per session.

Arts & Performance
Musical Theater Production (High School Only)
Morning Star High School’s musical theater program is a highlight of the year, culminating in a dynamic annual production. Students collaborate to create a memorable and inspiring performance, with opportunities to participate both on-stage and behind the scenes.

Career & College Preparation
High School High Tech
(HSHT) Program
(In partnership with The Arc) High School High Tech (HSHT) provides students with hands-on career exploration opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Through this program, students gain essential career development skills and real-world experiences to prepare for the workforce.
Program Highlights:
Career exploration in STEM fields
Leadership, communication, and technology training
Networking with local businesses, educators, and Vocational Rehabilitation
Opportunity to attend the Youth Leadership Forum in Tallahassee
Eligibility: HSHT is a year-round program for students ages 14-22 with varying abilities. Funded by The Able Trust, the program has been proven to boost self-esteem and reduce dropout rates, setting students up for success beyond high school.
